6 Days Toubkal Trek Program
Overview
This 6-day trek in the Toubkal Massif is a great opportunity to discover the
landscapes and Berber culture of this region of Morocco. The route is varied, with
passages through forests, mountains, and traditional villages.

The departure is from Marrakech in the direction of Aguersioual, where you will meet
the muleteers who will accompany you during the trek. The hike begins with a gentle
climb above the walnut trees of Matate, before reaching the Tizi Oudit pass. From
there, you descend into the Azaden Valley, where you will spend the night in a
guesthouse.
You climb back up the Azaden Valley, passing through the villages of the valley. You
arrive at Tizi Oussem, then climb to the Tamsoulte pastures, where you will spend
the night.
You cross the Tizi n'Zik pass, which offers stunning views of Toubkal and Djebel
Oukaïmeden. You then descend into the Imlil Valley, where you will spend the night.
You cross a pine forest of Aleppo, then climb to the Tamatert pass. From there, you
descend to the village of Tinghrine, then climb back up to Ouaneskra. You will spend
the night in Tacheddirt.
You continue your descent to Imi Oughlad, passing through typical villages. You will
spend the night in a guesthouse.
You return to Marrakech by minibus, where you will spend the night in a riad.
You depart from Marrakech.
Level of difficulty
This trek is accessible to hikers of intermediate level, with good physical condition.
The elevation gain is moderate, but it is important to acclimatize to the altitude, which
can reach 4,167 meters at the summit of Toubkal.
Equipment
It is important to plan for equipment suitable for hiking in the mountains, including:
- Comfortable and waterproof hiking boots
- Comfortable backpack that is adapted to the weight of your equipment
- Warm and waterproof clothing
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- First-aid kit
- Water and food for the day
The price of a 6-day trek in the Toubkal Massif varies depending on the travel
